After the last Family Constellation Day one of the participants sent me a feedback which he gently allowed me to publish.
It is especially the last part I want to share with you today since it inspired me to write this month’s newsletter.
“ ……. Turn on your television, read your newspapers, and look out of your window. Has there ever been a time in the history of the world when we needed something as powerful as Family Constellation work as we need it now?”
Well, you might ask – what has Family Constellation work to do with the world around us? Why should it be needed? Indeed, it is a good question and I will try to give you the answer right away.
Observing television, newspapers and the life of people I know, at the moment has a deep thought-provoking effect on me. Not so much because of the things that are happening around us but more because of how people react and how they deal with each other.
Sometimes I feel that, the more people talk about love, spiritual awakening and that we should not judge each other, the more they judge and project. Following the posts on Facebook and watching the videos floating around I get more and more the impression that you have to follow a certain stream of thoughts, if you want to belong and don’t want to be the odd one out. And I ask myself – has there really something changed in the last decades?
Still most of us are convinced that how we think, act and speak is the only right way to do it. And often very clear or even between the lines I can sense a patronizing and judgmental tone in posts regarding those who do not share our opinions and points of view.
But – looking at ourselves from a bigger picture – who are we to decide what is good or bad, what is right or wrong?
And this is the point to get back to the Family Constellation work quoting another part of Ben’s testimonial:
„…Whether you choose to do your own constellation; generously offer yourself as a representative, or feel like observing is appropriate for you right now, healing will take place. Of that you can be sure. You will be humbled by the openness of strangers, and you will be overwhelmed with gratitude to have been part of something undoubtedly significant in the lives of everybody present…”
In our everyday life we would judge many things, situations and incidents that come to light in a Family Constellation.
However, during the constellation work we understand that our souls don’t know valuation or judgement, that they don’t care about detecting mistakes or dictating others how to live. We are not rewarded or punished for things that we do or don’t do. And we understand that we only punish ourselves by disregarding the ‘Orders of Love ” which are not “manmade” but inherent in our human existence.
When we realize this and accept our share of responsibility, when we acknowledge what is and has been, when we return in a loving attitude or let go what does not belong to us – then, and only then, peace can return and love can flow again.
“Has there ever been a time in the history of the world when we needed something as powerful as Family Constellation work as we need it now?”
Trying to answer Ben’s initial question, what comes to my mind is this:
More than ever before we live a time in which we are overstuffed and overloaded with information. The whole world is in a state of insecurity, manipulation, fear, projection, mutual condemnation and chaos.
The Family Constellation work lends us a hand in reaching a completely different level where all those things don’t play any role; where we return from chaos back to an order in which we suddenly move with certainty and clarity, no longer able to maintain our projections, comparisons or judgements.
There is a shift within us, because we feel that healing takes place the very moment we open up, observe, trust our intuition and realize that we are all equal: beings sharing the same dream – to be accepted as we are, with all the nonsense we got up to.
And this feeling, this awareness we take along into our daily lives, though the constellation may be way back, because our souls never forget what we experienced.
What if every person on this earth did a Family Constellation? Would there be no more wars, no more hunger, no more people forced to leave their homes, no more hatred or violence? I cannot answer this question – but one thing I know for sure: there would be much more understanding and respect for each other and a bigger mutual acceptance leading to a lot more peace in the world.
Even if it may sound silly, I just feel like ending this newsletter with “Amen” which means nothing else than “so be it”.
